Tree Moving One of the unique services at Whitney Tree Service is our ability to transplant large trees quickly and effectively with our Vermeer 60-inch tree spade. Different species and sizes of trees move more successfully at certain times of the year. For a free on-site visit, give our office a call. Thanks to the efforts of the state and licensed pesticide applicators in the area, brown tail moth populations seem to be stabilizing. If you live in an infested area and you are concerned about the health of your trees and yourself, contact your town office to see if the state is spraying your area. If they are, that is great! Their efforts seem to be working. If not, and you would like information on brown tail moth defoliation control, please contact our office before mid-March. Spraying for this pest has everything to do with timing, so the earlier you call the better job we can do for you. Whitney Tree Service strongly suggests fertilizing storm-damaged, shade trees. If you have not had them inspected in a while, please contact our office, and we would be happy to set up an appointment, with one of our knowledgeable consultants. The single, most important aspect of tree care is correct pruning. Please call for a free, tree-care survey. Timing your spraying for insects is critical for adequate control. We route our crews according to orders received, based on the particular spray. Please call early to include your yard in our route. A special trip back to your property may cost more, if we have already completed spraying your neighborhood.
